@jimbob @Su_G I get quite cranky when they equate large numbers of international students with poor quality outcomes. It’s just pure racism. The management is both incompetent and corrupt. They have zero interest in outcomes and are only interested in amassing their personal wealth.

@jimbob ...it doesn't help that we continue to hear so many stories about academics being plain shit and / or shilling for big tech without much reflection... years ago there was a joke about MOOAs - massive open online administrations - centralising all the duplicated overhead staff load of universities, freeing up resources for teaching and research. Maybe that's still the change we need - although with current brain rot at exec levels you know it'd play out in the worst way possible....

@jimbob well, at least they've got all this money to spend on paying the consulting firms who got them into this mess to get them out¹ again. ¹make it worse
