I don&#39;t know who needs to hear this but https://freetaxusa.com is pretty great. I struggle with doing taxes bc disability and it was a game changer. Do recommend Basically the site walks you through doing your taxes. You fill in fields &amp; answer questions, it does the math, at the end it gives you a filled-out tax form and it&#39;ll e-file for you. Federal taxes are free, for state taxes they charge.

@epiceneVivant@mas.to Also if someone can't use that for some reason, I used CashApp's tax service this year, which is free even for state taxes and for business/self-employment. And they'll defend an audit for free too.

@epiceneVivant@mas.to @outer@mas.to I will check this out, but I seriously doubt it can handle taxes as complex as mine. Three businesses, rents and royalties, IRA withdrawals, health insurance through the ACA marketplace, home ownership — the list of complexities goes on and on. I usually use TurboTax and yes, I pay for it. But it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the $600 my accountant wants. (And yes, I know that TurboTax lobbies the government to make our taxes complex and costly to file.)
