@epiceneVivant@mas.to @outer@mas.to I will check this out, but I seriously doubt it can handle taxes as complex as mine. Three businesses, rents and royalties, IRA withdrawals, health insurance through the ACA marketplace, home ownership — the list of complexities goes on and on.
I usually use TurboTax and yes, I pay for it. But it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the $600 my accountant wants. (And yes, I know that TurboTax lobbies the government to make our taxes complex and costly to file.)

@mlanger@mastodon.world @epiceneVivant@mas.to @outer@mas.to I’m in a similar position to Maria, and CashApp has handled everything for the past 3+ years. I’m a stickler for details, so I do have to double check where the data goes on the resulting forms and sometimes adjust how I answer some questions, but filing for free with multiple income sources, home ownership, etc. has been fairly easy since switching.

@mlanger@mastodon.world @epiceneVivant@mas.to I used to use TurboTax. I know about their political bullshit, and their lying. But the software worked for me. Now that I'm retired, and my taxes are simpler, I use FreeTaxUSA, but pay extra for the legal services.
