would anyone be interested in doing a "week of patching"? meaning, each day, you make a patch (create a signal chain with modular audio and/or visual software or hardware) and record something with it. then at the end, edit a composition of all pieces in series. i'm thinking some week in the summer, and also trying to decide if "week of patching" is a good enough name, open to ideas!

  • @palomakop I'm interested, but as I'm horrible at planning ahead, I can't say for sure if I'm able to join in.

@palomakop i’d be down! this was kind of how i approached looptober - do the thing, then afterward turn all those bits and bobs into something whole

@palomakop it's a great idea. i did something pretty much like that for a short little album / EP thing a few years ago. might be up for participating if i'm not busy with other projects when it comes up. https://c-reider.bandcamp.com/album/five-days-in-march

@palomakop I like this, it might give me focused time to learn how to use my Empress Zoia pedal

@palomakop Yes, I'm interested in participating. However, I can only provide digital visuals with simple sound. Also, it's not a patch with audio cables, but live coding. Would that be okay?

@palomakop My two old programs now work on a recent version of Debian as well. Now I need to get the sound working again. A connection to #SuperCollider Then, technically speaking, I’d be able to participate in the Week of Patching. The movement of the shapes (left) will affect the sound. The trajectories of the shapes are modified via live coding (right). In the middle is the visuals patch. Can be modified via #livecoding too. I plan to use new images for the visuals.

@palomakop Looptober is similar, but it's a whole month, which is kinda hard. It's always good to get the creative juices flowing.
