@elena Do you have, or know of, a great resource introducing newbies to #RSS?
I find that one of my websites just says "subscribe to RSS" which links to a bunch of XML gobbledy gook that means nothing to most people. Instead I would love it to link to info about how to subribe with an RSS feed reader. Only RSS feed readers need to see the XML gobbledy gook anyways.

I would LOVE to get my "normie" friends to subscribe to my Mastodon or GoToSocial RSS feed so they can see what I'm up to... even though they are not on the Fediverse. Plus: it's all about reading interesting content away from addictive algos. RSS is simply the best. Molly White wrote this last year: https://www.citationneeded.news/curate-with-rss/
