I was in a game store ~2007 and someone figured out who I was and rushed up to me and told me how seen they felt about my treatment of gender in Shock:Social Science Fiction. You can’t make art based on what people tell you because most of the time, they don’t tell you anything or aren’t the audience. You just make it, then set it free. But you create it to say something, and you don’t know you’ve said it unless someone tells you what they got from it. Tell artists you like their work.
