Another experience that made me feel good, just now, was my latest collaborative design session with one of the other devs on my team.
They have a growth goal of doing more design. I have one of creating more opportunities to delegate work, as the most senior member of my team. By collaborating on this next design question, rather than me solving it alone, they get practice and I am more completely sharing my knowledge so they can build it as easily as I could.

The whole process of collaborating has been positive. This member of my team is one of the nicest people I've met, effortless to get along with. The positive feeling today was how well we've been able to iterate and building off each other's ideas and work. I've avoiding rushing to the end, asking for their input at each step. Today we firmed up our use of optimistic locking, they were the ones to really pin down whether we needed it in one place or two.
