The whole process of collaborating has been positive. This member of my team is one of the nicest people I've met, effortless to get along with. The positive feeling today was how well we've been able to iterate and building off each other's ideas and work. I've avoiding rushing to the end, asking for their input at each step. Today we firmed up our use of optimistic locking, they were the ones to really pin down whether we needed it in one place or two.

Their thinking also led us naturally into considering some error semantics, in particular identifying which errors could be recovered by a retry versus ones that won't. I was confident we'd get to errors and failures later but love witnessing the intuitive leap and being able to incorporate that into our shared diagrams in real time. I'm proud of my team mate and content I was able to support them in this exercise.
