We’re in the market to upgrade our remaining non-EV car to an #EV. We’d like 200-300 miles range, large hatchback or small SUV is about the right size. Would probably look at 2-3 years old. Any recommendations or models to avoid? Currently on a Merc A Class and the EV is a Mini Cooper.

@boffbowsh I had the Kia Soul EV - which I think is in the class you want. Excellent vehicle, well designed, good UI, decent price. Only gave it up because we moved next to a tube station.

@boffbowsh My husband has a work Jaguar I-PACE which a) has SO many varied problems, including repeated battery issues (was sent away for months). But at this point it's just a running joke about how little works well. b) the customer service from a 'premium' brand like Jag, both at the individual but also the business account level have been absolutely awful Also, personal view: so dumb that a £££ car has no rear wiper and you frequently can't see well. Very much do not recommend! 😂

@boffbowsh Not sure when the Volvo EX30 came out in the UK, but might be the right size. Model Y is a good car, depending on how you feel about that company.

@boffbowsh We've had a Nissan Ariya since 23, and it's quite nice. Very comfortable. Technically 200-300 mile range, though of course that'll vary. If you take a lot of trips, I'd get something that allows faster charging (not sure if the newer models do, but ours is rated for 150, and most of the time it's less than 100)

@boffbowsh We’ve got a 3 year old VW ID.4 we’re pretty happy with. ± 400km range in real-world conditions. Decent cargo capacity. Tows. Goes like stink. 😆 @vfrmedia
