@mpirnat Oh man. The only bright point for me is it's a clear answer to the question, what's going to happen to Astral. I was really hoping their private package hosting work was going to work for funding the open tools.

@mpirnat wish it were Anthropic had it come down to the two. The most salient ick from my POV is that this comes after OpenAI's opportunistic Pentagon nonsense.

@mpirnat that’s huge. Sucks, 100%, and my initial reaction is that refactoring with AI must be less good than refactoring with structured rules written in Rust.
