If you haven't heard, data centers are LOUD.
That's the thing though, they are mostly LOUD in frequencies inaudible to the human ear.
Low frequencies also travel much further have high penetration so putting walls between the data center doesn't help much.
With data centers cropping up all over the US, they sometimes get plopped down near neighborhoods.
What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

@milagemayvary@mstdn.social sounds like the discredited wind turbine infra noise theory. It can’t be measured and it seems only to affect people who don’t like wind turbines.

@milagemayvary@mstdn.social I bet their noise pollution is much worse than windmills - and the noise is still less deadly than their carbon pollution and less destructive than their giant water theft.
