“Pick me girl”? I had never heard of it before but thanks to an analysis of Pauline Hanson I see this TikTok term applies. https://www.thenewdaily.com.au/opinion/2026/07/27/is-pauline-hanson-the-ultimate-pick-me-girl?utm_source=braze&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=The+New+Daily+-+TUESDAY+-+AM+-+2026-07-28&alias=feature-3-opinion-this-is-why-pauline-hanson-may-just-be-the-ultimate-pick-me-girl#google_vignette

And now I have a better idea about why ads are driving the Techbros. This is about US users but I assume that they have a profile for Australians too. https://proton.me/blog/what-is-your-data-worth-to-google #google

Well this sucks. If you use WhatsApp as a secure messaging service, send account details, passwords or sensitive documents then this is now in doubt. I’d better start on generating email encryption keys again. Signal still seems pristine due to its structure and open source software. https://www.techspot.com/news/112232-federal-agent-whatsapp-encryption-lie-investigation-shut-down.html #whatsapp #signal

“Without that investment that’s come from North America, that’s come from Japan … we wouldn’t be having a debate because there wouldn’t have been that extraction.” Surely that is well in the past and if they want any future gas they will be keen to invest. After all they do in other parts of the world where people are less gullible. #fossilfuels #auspol #gastax

Seems a golden opportunity! Who could argue against electrifying public transport today? It’s really a no brainer! https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2026/mar/26/australia-electric-buses-transition-from-diesel-fuel-crisis #electricvehicles #electricbuses #ElectrifyEverything #fossilfuels

I was looking to charge the EV in Goulburn and the Chargefox chargers met my needs. What is interesting is the 20 odd Tesla chargers located adjacent to the Chargefox. The place was really pumping electrons as EVs were coming and going big time. It crossed my mind that if an area can snag a number of chargers then they are set as the drivers have ~20-30 minutes available to spend on coffee, etc. A great draw card and one most of us don’t realise how important it is, especially in a country town....
