@jedda So sorry to hear π I completely understand that itβs hard to see a silver lining right now, but Iβm sure it will reveal itself in time. Thanks for sharing π

@jedda@social.lol wow - great read. I was wondering but yknow, wanted to be respectful, whatever it was. I had a coworker let go a few days ago. It's true. Companies don't care. She was literally doing exactly as much work as I was, we had the exact same numbers. She was a great worker, she was just the most recently hired. It's messed up. And now of course I absorb all her work. These companies. Hoping the best for you- that thing about not chasing things, but when the thing is right, it'll find you. That kind of thing.

@jedda@social.lol Sorry to hear you lost your job. And thank you for having the courage to say that you feel lost something that not everyone would be able to recognize. I wish you will end up stronger and more resilient

@jedda@social.lol So sorry to hear about your job loss. And you're 100% right. So many things are more important than a professional identity.

@jedda@social.lol The second paragraph: 1. I wasn't happy, 2. told myself I had to do it 3. Came crashing down 4. became lost I was in that place. It hurt and my identity was very much wrapped up in what I was doing. I hope so much that things work out as well for you as they have for me, because I am so grateful for the experience I had before, during, and especially after that crash. It sounds like you are going through this pain in a way that is true and life giving. I admire you. I love the article title 'Redefining Worth After Loss.'

@jedda@social.lol there's nothing I can say to help you work through this. You will find your own way. Safe in the knowledge that everything happens for a reason, and hopefully you can treat this as an opportunity to flourish. Take care. π«

@jedda@social.lol so sorry to hear, and I hope you feel better soon, and find something else quickly. I think it's normal you feel this way. It's never nice to get such news, and we spent so much of our time with our job that we become "connected" to it. Not to mention, the financial impact. Take good care of yourself.
