hay all: looking for an iPhone based recording app that either allows 32 bit float recording or allows me to change the level of incoming signal a bit. I have a set of binaural mics which run a tad hot and I don't want them to distort in super loud environments. Ideally it would export to dropbox or somewhere useful. What is everyone using these days?

@bermudianbrit@mastodon.online Twisted Wave Editor will do both of these things. Be advised, though, that if it's your DAC clipping out, 32-bit FP won't really help much, depending on how the gain staging of your microphones actually works.

@bermudianbrit@mastodon.online Um...Have you tried Just Press Record? I kind of waver between that and the stock voice memos app, but I've never really looked at the bit rate of what I'm recording on the phone.
