@donthatedontkill Weirdly enough, Google phones are likely the most compatible with third-party OSes... I am running a 9a now, before I had a 7a. Haven't tried /e/OS on it, but I am running GrapheneOS.

@donthatedontkill I've been happy with my fairphone 6, personally would've preferred official lineageos support over official /e/-os support, but if you like /e/-os then you'll be pleased to hear that you can literally order one with it preinstalled, it won't even display 'unlocked bootloader' warnings etc.

@donthatedontkill #Fairphone6 - hands down! Cuz #Fairphone actually sells parts, keep stuff repairable and doesn't charge a premium for it... https://shop.fairphone.com/the-fairphone-gen-6

@donthatedontkill Fairphone 5 or 6 is probably the best choice. All officially supported phones are supposed to get updates until they stop being able to boot the most recent android version, but FPs will also have the repairability and long-term parts availability benefits. FP5 may also be able to provide the best mobile Linux experience in the future
