@Cam Yeah, it's pretty annoying. I can figure out what words trigger me and I'll avoid them. I don't need an overseer to do it for me.

@Cam @mcourcel Oh yeah, it’s even worse on TikTok. You will get banned for saying those words. You have to use unalive for kill, and machine for Gunn. It’s so stupid.

@Cam It's do to YouTube's monetising policies. Swear words, no money for that person who spent hours making a video. Simple as that. Whether we get annoyed or not, what is even the point? Why get annoyed when you can't immediately and directly change something? Just ignore and move on, or at least be indifferent to it and still enjoy the video. That's just my take on it, and I've seen it for years now.

@Cam Agreed. If I hear someone say "unalive" (or worse, "sewer slide") ever again, it'll be too soon.

@Cam And if they're not bleeped out, they're newspeaked. See unalive, suer-slide, grape etc. Certain things trigger me emotionally, but I won't go crying on the internet because a video sent me into an attack. I'll just skip past the specific part(s) or just not watch the video. Evil Among Us is a great example of how to get this shit right. He puts a content warning at the start of the video and puts chapter marks around parts that might upset or cause distress to viewers. No need for censoring or word replacement.

@soundshadow87 @Cam I agree with this completely. Some of the stuff they senser is just plain weird, and it's almost comical to hear some youTubers try to avoid words they're apparently not allowed to say any more. It seems that there are an awful lot of people out there who are way too sensative, easily offended, triggered, or whatever. I don't want to diminish anyone's genuine issues, but if they can't function just from hearing a word? That's just very sad and messed up.
