Is there by now a USB-C to USB-C cable speaking exclusively Ethernet between each other, like two of the same NIC wired to each other?

@max If it exists it is on AliExpress. But couldn't say that I've seen such a cable yet though.

@max depends. If I connect my workstation to my laptop with *any* USB3 USB-C cable (which is capable of doing TB3/USB4), that works out of the box. But not because it's USB-C, but because both ends' Linuxes negotiate a USB4 network connection. Works with OS X as one side, as well, haven't ever hooked up to a windows machine (these are rare for me to meet).
