This article states that an algorithm in social media is not an inherently bad force. It can be tweaked and honed to benefit people. Well, d'oh! Only the tweaking would require a certain set of values that the "tweakers" don't seem to have.

What I'm also taking from that article is the term "microcelebrities". I know the authors didn't use it with any connotation attached, but oh I will.

@iwritelike This falls under "well d'oh but I guess we need science to back up the obvious". You'd think by 2026 we'd be at least a decade past the stage of "We need much more data about this". The irony!
