This morning I attended a #scifi #writing workshop, hosted by @wendymetcalfe , and wrote of a population long-ago tethered to a space station, 57% of whom have just voted to turn their home into a vessel to escape the scarcity of their surroundings. What lengths will folk go to stay with their home sky and what others to ensure this fundamental, controversial plan succeeds?

I&#39;ve been forcing myself to listen to the BBC #podcast &quot;Top Comment&quot; since I have occasionally been fielding questions from customers about their kids and abusive social media platforms. It describes as &quot;The story behind your social media feed&quot; and this genuinely isn&#39;t meant in a derogatory or condescending manner but I find it sad that both the hosts find those platforms to &quot;Be the Internet&quot;.

Today I traced my finger across the lifetime of an old, sleepy tree. Year after year of colder temperatures ringed tightly together amidst bursts of plenty. Did it mind the leaner times, relish the fattening of gentle years? Were they felt as a whole, eventually evening out as the way of things?
