I know this will not apply to everyone who reads my feed, but if you are allergic, you need to know that the shepherds pie in #Aldi frozen section contains for some unknown reason anchovies. Because of my own allergies and sensitivities I am making groceries and reading lots of labels. As it is a working migraine day thanks to our nasty insane weather, I was in search of something that one of us could just throw in the oven preferably comforting but it will not be that. We don’t have fish allergies here but I was personally put off by that very odd included ingredient. Now I think the next butcher box will contain ground lamb and I’ll make one from scratch at some point. I doubt the pork chops I was planning for tonight will get made. I swear I can’t win on the dinner front these days. Meh.

@amy0223 What a horrible thought, anchovies in shepherd's pie! I'm not allergic to them, but I hate them, having had them on pizza in the past.

@amy0223 if you check british recipes for shepherds pie, it's a quite common add on. adds umami taste and gives the lamb some salty flavour.
