  I tasted my first Krispy Kreme doughnut today. A neighbor had a job interview with the company, and brought us some donuts. I am not a big doughnut fan, but have always wanted to try Krispy Kreme, so today was my chance. I had some kind of a sugar doughnut with a filling. It was nice and light and very good, but it didn’t convert me to becoming a doughnut addict. smile

  Good #Wednesday morning, Mastodonians. Sweetie must be reading my Mastodon posts. Yesterday I talked about how she wakes up at 4:00 and doesn't settle down until it's time for me to get up. Last night she went out around 2:00, then settled right back down, and was still sleeping when I got up, though I hear her moving around now.   Good #Tuesday morning, Mastodonians. Today our daughter and granddaughter are coming over, and we'll watch our granddaughter while our daughter gets stuff done. Before that, we'll drop Sweetie off at the groomer, and pick her up at some later point. And in the evening a neighbor has invited us over for a barbecue. Talk about a busy day!   Good #Wednesday morning, Mastodonians. We had a fun day yesterday with our daughter and granddaughter, and then going to dinner at our neighbors' house and getting to know them a little better. Today will be a quieter and cooler day. Yesterday we got up to the mid to upper 80's, and today we'll only be in the upper 60's, according to my watch.   Good #Saturday morning, Mastodonians. I woke up suddenly, realizing I had something I needed to take care of right away, so got up extra early. Not what I wanted to do on a Saturday morning, but when you're retired, every day is Saturday, so I'll survive. We have nothing on the agenda, so we can have a relaxing day despite the early hour.   Good #Monday morning, Mastodonians. Today is our son-in-law's 40th birthday, and he's climbing Mt. St. Helen to celebrate. The thought of doing that sounds scary to me, and I pray he'll stay safe and have fun. We have nothing going here. I'm the only one up so far. It's supposed to be a rainy day today, so we'll see how that affects what we do. I hope it's a good day for everyone.

  Good #Tuesday morning, Mastodonians. We bought some patio furniture yesterday that will be delivered tomorrow, the same day as our daughter and granddaughter come to visit. We got 4 chairs and two tables. I'm looking forward to enjoying deck time this spring and summer. Nothing is on the agenda for today, so we'll see what the day brings.   Good #Sunday morning, Mastodonians. All is quiet on the western front. Sweetie and I are just waking up, and I hear music playing, so Dan might be surfacing soon. We don't have anything on the agenda for today. I think it's supposed to be about 11 degrees cooler than yesterday, so the temperature should be in the upper 40's, last I heard, with possible showers. But we'll make the best of it and make it a good day. I hope it's a good day for all of you.

We have some banking to do, and our weekly Zoom contemplative prayer group, but other than that, the day is open for whatever comes our way. I should make an appointment for a haircut, because I'm feeling a bit shaggy. So those are my Monday morning pre-coffee ramblings. I hope you all have a good day.

  Good #Tuesday morning, Mastodonians. I slept really well last night, so it should be a good day. We had a lot of things we took care of yesterday, but today we don't have anything scheduled. I still need to get my hair cut, so maybe I'll see if I can do that. The rain is supposed to come in tonight I think, but it is supposed to only last until tomorrow, so after all our winter rain, that doesn't seem so bad. I guess I'm gradually getting a Washingtonian mindset....

  Well, the bike was sold before our daughter could get to the place to see it, which was fine, because it gave us more time with her and our granddaughter. We played for a while, then our granddaughter and I watched Dan teach our daughter how to use a saw and nail gun to make her window planter box.   Good #Wednesday morning, Mastodonians. I was awake quite a bit last night, but I think once I get some coffee in me, I'll be ready to face the day. Dan actually got up before I did this morning. We have an interesting thing we discovered near our house. There's a swampy area in back of our property, and it must be breeding season for frogs, because they are back there singing their little hearts out.   I got the phone updated. I haven’t heard about any updates to the watch, but I will check that when I put it on to charge before bed. On another note, Dan has been having pain in a tooth and his sinuses and a slight ear ache. The doctor didn’t think it sounded like a sinus infection, so he went to the dentist today, and they decided to replace a crown, because his sinuses were inflamed, and the dentist thought there might be an issue with the tooth.   Neither our daughter nor our granddaughter will be over today. Our granddaughter wore herself out on their hike, and our son-in-law has to clean up the campsite, so our daughter is taking the baby home. So the plan is for us to get together on Monday.

  Weird. The only template I can't get to show absolute time is the notifications time in Fedra. I've checked all my settings for that template, and they all look right, but they're still showing notifications in relative time. Blast and botheration!

  Good #Sunday morning, Mastodonians. I thought I heard Dan up reading earlier, but now he's back in bed, snoring. But Sweetie and I are up and ready for the day. We don't have anything planned. I'll listen to the live stream of the mass from my Sacramento parish, and do yoga at some point, and of course there's the obligatory Sweetie walk.
