@hweimer Graphs for production / demand / storage would be really nice.

@hweimer maybe consider solarthermal and other locations for any successive versions...

@hweimer please implement a button labeled "CxU" when clicked half of the solar panels should be demolished by a mob of middle aged Men with pitchforks, but nevertheless the player should receive a massive influx of money by a new faction called "traditional Energy suppliers" and the emoticon that depicts the player should change to a women with (colored) black hair. plus a magic power plant (gingerbread look please) that burns imaginary Hydrogen, and real fracking gas.

@hweimer Gibt es auch einen Bundesstromberg, der erfolgreich teure E-Fuels-, Fusion- und Flugtaxen-Projekte versemmelt?

@hweimer When you have solar on your roof, you can use this energy and sell the surplus to your neighbors. But what happens, if all your neighbors have solar on their roof, too? Will there be a market price at all in a solar-powered economy? Or will system costs become the main factor in a calculation? Or will we see negative prices + H₂ generation = zero sum with good weather and extreme prices during dunkelflaute? And can these niches be enough for energy companies to survive?

@hweimer Fun little game. I think I found a bug: when having a building selected, then opening for example the control unit, and then trying to deselect the building it will be bought (and deselected). Two places for improvement: battery SOC (and gas storage) should be visible from the main screen, it feels like your facility has too much impact on the overall electricity price (if i set my battery discharge price to 11 cents, the electricity price seems to get nailed to 11 cents)

@hweimer can you build those on top of existing buildings like supermarkets and parking garages, or to shade parking lots to simulate the fact that you do not need to topple any trees to be able to successfully build a solar energy system?

@hweimer what a great idea, are you iterating this, did you want feedback?

@hweimer Don't ask me how I figured this out, but at 2046-01-01 I'm asked if I can meet the increased demands of BEVs and heat pumps and then the game loop just stops.

@hweimer The game output is rather tiny, unreadable small. It seems that the browser gives you a raw, unscaled, canvas, while I use a 1.75x scaling on my desktop. It looks like https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Window/devicePixelRatio is related to it, at least it mentions HiDPI displays and there is an example for canvas stuff.

@hweimer have a look at https://play.half.earth/ It puts the transition into an even bigger context. Energy and food security are two things to manage.

@hweimer A fun game! Minor thing: The thousands separator is only used for borrowing/repaying money and does not change between EN and DE.

@hweimer I cannot win this game. Sorry everyone, we're all doomed.
