@haubles@hachyderm.io @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org Thanks for the heads-up on this happening. I am not surprised as it has been an annoyance for us mods for a while.

@haubles@hachyderm.io @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org I’m seeing exactly none of this stuff. My mods are amazing 😍

@haubles@hachyderm.io In my experience #Block comes down on these accounts like a ton of bricks. Getting the word out obviously helps, then the fediverse can, and will, clean up our own streets. Appealing to civic pride here, hoping we're up for the task. @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org

@haubles@hachyderm.io @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org How are we going with mod tools? Specifically tools that help mods?

@haubles@hachyderm.io @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org My general rule is to block anything with Telegram links. That's a red flag on its own.

@haubles@hachyderm.io > 1. If you see an account posting or spamming Telegram links, report it. As one does, promotion of corposcum networks is a clear sign of malice. @alice@lgbtqia.space

@haubles@hachyderm.io @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org This is as good a time as any to say (again) that my moderators - @moderators@sfba.social - are amaaaaazing and fedi is lucky to have them.

@haubles@hachyderm.io @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org Почему тролли резвятся на YouTube? Им же суждено стать пушечным мясом на Украине. Возможно, они слишком слабы или глупы для этого поля боя.

Is this particular attack related in some way to Lemmygrad?

@koteisaev@mastodon.online 2025-10-09 08:08
@haubles@hachyderm.io @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org Good this problem got your attention. I seen in past whole instances dedicated to spreading kremlin propaganda. Some did it in "open mode'", other apply "satire" sauce, and some already gone. Sadly I can't recall instance domains, as these were old posts with whole lists of domains.

@haubles@hachyderm.io Hah we totally missed this. To be fair we selfhost and don't have that much of a federation network, but still! It's kinda neat how you can just, not even see the spam here because it didn't even make it to your neighborhood.

@haubles@hachyderm.io @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org https://blog.isabel-drost.de/spam-spam-spam/ ... Are there plans to make sharing activities like these among moderators easier? Do moderators have an easy way to inspect the connections of accounts to spot spammy patterns (connections here meaning who re shares, follows, replies, replies only to influential accounts, re shares only what gets lots of replies/ engagement)?
