I started delving into a bunch of the other comics I'd missed and, while I'd read this run, Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye: My Life As a Weapon, I have been woefully remiss on catching the longer run they did on the Hawkeye series that blended him with his sort of Kid Hawkeye, Kate Bishop - introduced in this series and somewhat loosely adapted for the Hawkeye tv miniseries (reffed above). And dear lord, what Fraction and Aja (and other collaborators) did with this series . . . like My Life As a Weapon should've HOOVERED me right to their later stuff, but it's sooooo good and, as good as it is, I realize it is touching some nerves as to why maybe I identify with Clint and that is making it resonate even more in my grossly insecure brain and desiccated heart.
More on this as I progress but if this is of any interest and you like really good and, honestly, innovative-as-fuck storytelling masquerading as superhero shit, start here.

Pizza Dog gets his own issue and you kids know how I feel about dogs, much less Pizza Dog, and even if I didn't, holy shit, it is fucking beautiful. If you don't even care about any of this shit, you will love Pizza Dog and, if you don't love Pizza Dog, well, I guess it is good for society in that we have now identified you as a sociopath. HE DOES DOG SLEUTHING. WHILST STILL BEING A DOG AND NOT SOME ANTHROPOMORPHICIZED CARTOON ABOMINATION.
