What's the new playbook for getting a job in tech? Clearly companies don't care about coding proficiency anymore. Is the move to just burn a fuck ton of cash on tokens to vibe code a dozen apps you don't care about to prove that you're "AI forward" or some dumb shit?

    Even two years ago the "get a job" advice would be practicing problems from Cracking the Coding Interview and work on quality portfolio projects Today it's all about AI adoption and velocity at the expense of everything else. I really don't see a way to differentiate yourself other than spending a small fortune to vibe code 6 apps at once just to prove that you can use the tools And then you'll still be stuck in scrum meetings all day anyway
