addendum to last thread, a while back i said something out loud about the 'sound of strudel' and then felt like i should've investigated more before running my mouth. so...
one of these is strudel in chrome, one is strudel in firefox (recorded via obs)

audio of that - also includes some little white noise bursts as i wanted to check the freq response too. the good one is firefox (first in the audio), the bad one is chrome (second in the audio). also chrome rounds off some high freqs.

@jamesholden interesting! The image captions indicate that the clean one is from a sampler, and not from strudel. Do you see a difference between chrome and firefox? Also, is strudel just playing the sample without note pitch shift?
