For $599 retail / $499 edu, I think MacBook Neo is going to sell incredibly well to people who historically chose the base MacBook Air config. Really any Apple Silicon system is more than adequate for my needs when it comes to CPU power. It’s more about RAM and storage. If I could spec a MacBook Neo up to 16GB/1TB for like $999 that would be my next machine. Maybe by the time I really need to replace my M1 there will be more configuration options. If not, then I guess it’ll be another Air.
