Huh. It turns out that Ubuntu 24 LTS distributes its firmware updater as a snap. So now I'm trying PopOS.
(This is not a veiled request for alternative low-effort Debian-based distros, but feel free to chime in anyway if you want.)

@suetanvil Work requires Ubuntu with home-grown installation scripts, constant monitoring of my system, etc. I've been trying to figure out if I can reliably remove the Gnome snaps and switch to .deb. Or figure out how to do xmonad through a VNC or RDP connection, passing my meta key through.
