@mayonnaizze.bsky.social in my most humblest of opinions, it's probably because the year was like 2005 and there was no real taboo around that sort of thing on most of the internet yet. that, and I don't think anyone ought to be considering any of the H*R characters role models either. sort of like how in south park, you're supposed to watch the show and go "well these people aren't making very good life choices, and that is a source of comedy"

@mayonnaizze.bsky.social i doubt the Brothers Chaps would insult a fly, and IIRC they've done numerous retroactive edits to stuff to remove problematic content over the years. plus, look at everything else on newgrounds at the time. it could've been a LOT worse :P
