@mayonnaizze.bsky.social i doubt the Brothers Chaps would insult a fly, and IIRC they've done numerous retroactive edits to stuff to remove problematic content over the years. plus, look at everything else on newgrounds at the time. it could've been a LOT worse :P

@mayonnaizze.bsky.social obviously nothing's perfect and everyone makes mistakes, but as far as early 2000s flash animations go, for the most part they avoided a lot of the "edgy" "humor" of the time, which makes me think that anything which *did* slip past wasn't deliberately trying to be mean to anyone
