@mayonnaizze.bsky.social in my most humblest of opinions, it's probably because the year was like 2005 and there was no real taboo around that sort of thing on most of the internet yet. that, and I don't think anyone ought to be considering any of the H*R characters role models either. sort of like how in south park, you're supposed to watch the show and go "well these people aren't making very good life choices, and that is a source of comedy"

FYI: i change my name to "furbland's very (blank) account" every so often, following current goings-on. during the holidays i'm "furbland's very jolly account" (and i put a little santa hat on my avatar), when that whole "mastodon needs to get rid of porn" controversy was happening i was "furbland's very family-friendly account", etc. :P
