On repeat: if you simply slow down a bit, ding your bell (yes, a bell. It adds a whooping 1 oz to your bike) and wait for people to move or acknowledge they heard you, and say “thanks" as you pass, you will get TONS of smiles and spontaneous thank yous from virtually ALL demographics. It’s up to you (and them) what you do with those, but I guarantee you it’s far more impressive than you startling people as you rush by without saying anything. Share the trails
