... it randomly started to work. okay, that's good I guess? unsure what limits it, it seems like it requires a lot of power to start working, perhaps the previous owner set a high starting voltage (it can work from 200v up but it seems to require 300v), which is meh because I miss out on a bunch of power that way, I could've had way more by now. hm, unsure if I should cancel that Growatt order, I mean I guess this works but the efficiency isn't great like this

I'm cancelling the growatt order I guess. I don't truly need it if it works like this, and if I can use this thing until it actually dies then I will at least be able to avoid a piece of e-waste happening while keeping my solar array from decade old salvaged parts working. Ideally I replace both the inverter and the panels at some point with newer ones, but right now I can get 700w out of this (once the second string is attached) basically for free.
