@sashag@anarres.family as trans man I have a similar feeling as yours, towards some masculine items of clothing I feel really "yes I love wearing this" and others "ugh gender performance" - which maybe in my case is more about how comfortable they feel (and how much movement they allow) than how masculine they are coded/read by others. I resonate with the words you use and what you mean, I hope it makes you feel a bit less alone :)

    @cesium@cooltrans.men Thank you, it does help 💕 I'm a bit weird with regards to comfort. Before I transitioned I liked to wear suits. I didn't do so very often, but for example at conferences. The rigidity and feeling of being restricted in movement felt very secure. Like an armor. I abandoned suits completely for four years. And recently went to a tailor who does befitted women's suits. So now I'm waiting for them to finish a waisted smoking suit :blobcatfearful: But I get the comfort argument. There's enough already to cope with or even fight against. No need for an additional battle with uncomfortable clothes.
