📵 Off the clock? Stay off the clock. We are moving to fix this, working with employers and trade unions on an EU-wide Right to Disconnect. What we’re putting forward for discussion: 📴 Clear boundaries, ending the "always-on" work culture to protect your private life 🛡️ Fair treatment, ensuring digital workplaces respect your rights without career drawbacks 🧠 Worker well-being, safeguarding physical and mental health through true work-life balance More 👉 https://lnkd.in/eAZTiQS2

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu With Chat Control it’s indeed good advise to stay offline.

  • @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Why are you sending a LinkedIn shortener link? Also, do not listen to Google lobbyism and remove the cookie banner requiring them to follow by the 88b https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A52025PC0837#:~:text=Insertion%20of%20Article%2088b%20into%20Regulation%20(EU)%202016/679%20(GDPR)%3B # #KILLTHECOOKIEBANNER

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu If I have right to disconnect than why I can't have right to privacy? I can't disconnect from Google/Apple or EU itself? Why? I understand that only EU elites and Gov have right to privacy? The Epstein friends are still intouchable, but average citizen of EU need to be under survilance? This is the new standards of EU?

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu For me too late, I've worked untill I dropped and the lights went out. But please do. For everyone's health. Make sure also people not joined in a union have the same, not to be hollowed out by bosses - rights!!

  • @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu bro, this account can never get a win. Even if they post something like this where most people will agree with or at least understand, the comments will nitpick stuff like the URL shortener or talk about another issue. The craziest part is that there's actually no-one from the EU commission that actually reads these comments so it doesn't matter what you post about your /pol/ issues here. Have a good day, keep on keeping on.

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu When I stopped working I switched off the work laptop. Simples. OK, so in the case of an emergency they would have been able to get in touch with me by non-company channels, but no employer ever did.

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu How about empowering workers and giving them more rights in this particular case? Employees who work after work sending an email or answering the phone get paid extra. 1 hour extra paid double for picking up the phone. How about that? ...

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu I have the right to disconnect, but you have to right to read all my messages. This should be illegal, yet you made it legal. I can disconnect all I want but you will still run a spy agency against your own citizens. Absolutely disgraceful.

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu question: where is the whistleblower page for these things? HR will usually side with the company / management. Is this local, national or Europe wide?
