@emily_rugburn@lgbtqia.space id be learning Biblical Hebrew and how to follow a religious service. But doing that would also give me a head up if I ever do learn modern Hebrew so there’s that. It’s be kind of like learning Shakespearean English first before learning conversational English, that is if christians used Shakespearean English for biblical services exclusively

@gavi@bagel.ing my mom was learning some biblical hebrew and it was driving everyone bananas haha she would just randomly start saying words right in the middle of dinner heh

@emily_rugburn@lgbtqia.space in modern Hebrew I only know the word “ahava” and the phrase “rosh gadol”, as well probably a few other words I’d catch if I heard them
