@bolderbekah@mastodon.social that’s quite a first 14er to do! Mine was Blue Sky — we hiked from Echo Lake to the top when I was five. Took a car back down lol

@bucknam@mastodon.social it was before I lived here, we came up to do Leadville heavy half and a couple 14ers in one week a few months before hiking Kilimanjaro. Had endurance fitness, some common sense like start very early, go slower than you think you should, and had the right layers/water, but still kind of naive.
