@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org @NosirrahSec@infosec.exchange a simple marathon would be relatively sane, they’re running over FIVE marathons back to back and their shoes are melting on the pavement. The overnight low— I just can’t imagine.

A college friend is buying a freeze dryer ($$$) and it makes sense because they do through hikes but I dunno. My solo trip length is three nights before I want a real shower and/or start freaking out about safety. I am a wimp. It is more comfortable with a buddy and sharing camp chores

That seems fun. Security vulnerability in an dealer-installed alarm that drivers don’t know they have https://www.wired.com/story/a-device-hidden-in-cars-across-the-us-leaves-them-vulnerable-to-hacking-and-paralysis-patch-it-now/

“If we want a future, mass transit is not optional.” As a previous downtown commuter, I nodded along to much of the frustration in this op-Ed. #colorado #denver #RTD https://coloradosun.com/2026/07/19/denver-rtd-transportation-opinion-carman/

Hey #colorado, it's time for the annual "don't be a jerk when pooping in the wilderness" news coverage. *The public benefit of providing free wag bags at trailheads is worth it, people are more likely to take and use them. *TH toilets are very welcome after a drive or hike, but GI tracts don't always behave on long hikes. https://coloradosun.com/2026/07/21/colorado-backcountry-pooping-wag-bags/

“This year was particularly bad for buyers wanting to exercise their left foot as they drive. While the 2025 U.S. new consumer vehicle market offered 32 manual-transmission vehicles, in 2026, that list got even shorter. Just 29, and four of those are cars with seven-figure price tags.” Acura integra , mazda3, civic SI and WRX are on this list, but there’s a gap for cars that are stick and in the sub 300 hp range. https://gearjunkie.com/motors/manual-transmission-cars

Cursed creatures. “Robot dogs with hyper-realistic silicone heads modeled after world-renowned figures — including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Andy Warhol and Pablo Picasso — can be seen roaming around a Berlin museum, occasionally “pooing” printed images of their surroundings which they’ve previously captured with integrated cameras.” https://apnews.com/article/germany-berlin-robot-dogs-beeple-bezos-digital-art-4a2be2a4a4490553ad68c27beedfe83a

Last summer I collected ~40 signatures for a safer crosswalk in my neighborhood (my city only required 5 signatures) and photographed sightlines. Drivers speed through there and the crosswalk is nearly invisible. Three months later after doing a traffic count, they put up a yellow warning sign. This is considered progress, even though it’s not real safety. No stop signs, no speed bumps. Nothing to inconvenience drivers. I understand this dad’s frustration. https://www.latimes.com/california/s...
