1% of people buying a house then their circumstances change and they move is entirely reasonable. What are they supposed to do, sell up, pay a 20% deposit plus at least $50,000 in stamp duty to buy a different house? Even if they did, that would just generate "1500 house flipped used scheme"
But sure, let's make it so those people are forced to live there no matter what. Very fair and reasonable.

@moz@fosstodon.org It's not what the scheme was for, but because Labor are all about serving the ultra rich rather than the actual people of Australia, they enabled this. The main point is that the ultra-rich have SEVERAL properties, it's not about a "roof over their heads" for them, it's about investments and making more money, not what the scheme was intended for but labor being labor sabotaged it for their corporate owners.
