@moz@fosstodon.org It's not what the scheme was for, but because Labor are all about serving the ultra rich rather than the actual people of Australia, they enabled this.
The main point is that the ultra-rich have SEVERAL properties, it's not about a "roof over their heads" for them, it's about investments and making more money, not what the scheme was intended for but labor being labor sabotaged it for their corporate owners.

@CanvasesByPeter@mementomori.social Can you explain in more detail how the first home buyers scheme benefits people who already own multiple properties? Just by propping up house prices? Which are falling. Ooops. Or something far more nefarious that's beyond my comprehension? More importantly, can you suggest a better system?
