@gwynnion@mastodon.social She blames her consultants, which is pretty funny because her consultants blame the candidate and seem to think that boosting her approvals byt 8% or whatever was a stunning overperformance on their part. Clearly, both sides are correct.

After a promising-ish start, she then basically fully embraced Biden's extremely unpopular platform including his stances regarding Israel/Gaza. She lost a large fraction of the 2020 winning coalition at that point. I was dreading the election as I saw that trainwreck happening.

@gwynnion@mastodon.social I was so frustrated that Biden didn’t step down when he acknowledged he wasn’t fit for a second term. President Harris wouldn’t have had to play the role of supporting all Biden’s policies, and she’d be coming from a stronger position. Plus, first woman president. But she should have stepped out from his shadow when she took the nomination. You can’t be “leader of the free world” and still take orders from someone else.

But if they didn't read a report they paid for, they probably wouldn't read this thread either. Which is too bad, because your political analysis is spot on!

@gwynnion@mastodon.social It's not like Kamala ever won a primary. She was the choice for VP to check boxes for the donor class... As a 2028 candidate she's polling at 5% or something
