We’re being bombarded with photos and videos of burning landscapes from many countries.
And I can’t stop thinking about that moment a few weeks ago.
A festival preceded by a heatwave, outdoors in the dry grass.
And the stranger who tossed his cigarette stub on the ground without looking, close to our feet, the remains still smoldering.
I didn’t know the guy, but I instantly knew that I didn’t like him.

@mahryekuh@hachyderm.io I've been thinking of these old ladies I overheard at the supermarket saying that we always had hot summers and that climate change is just a bunch of BS...I could not help but laugh at the time but it's really sad if you literally see the world burning 🥲
