@LawrenceGerald@poa.st If you've ever been to China you'd know it's a "different" kind of civilized.
They've had 4-5000 years of total soul crushing leadership of one kind or another.
I remember going to Hong Kong and it really was like walking through an ants nest or something. This cab driver got talking to my mum and wanted to show her his home. He was so proud of it.
It was like 1 room and a kitchen and a bathroom. For him, his wife and 2 kids.
I liken it a lot to Warhammer 40k hive worlds.

@thefinn@poa.st @LawrenceGerald@poa.st I lived in Aberdeen for a while as a kid and even now it stands out in my memory as being an alien world and it was still in British hands then.
