I really wish Apple sold a standalone TouchID button. I know there's that crazy hack where you can rip apart a keyboard and just use the TouchID button, but that's nuts. Just give us the button so we can use TouchID with our own mechanical keyboards!

@anildash@me.dm god yes. and they could charge a ton for it and would still sell a bunch (like to all of those people that need ergonomic keyboards)

@anildash@me.dm the closest workaround is the authenticate with Apple Watch setting, but even that option has a noticeable delay :blob_pensive:
