"My religious grandma asked me, 'My religion is against trans people, what do you think should be done in raising a child that is not confirming to their sex assigned at birth?'" What I think should be done is that you realize you're prioritizing a body of mythology and its prejudices over the well being of your child. You should realize that you're being a selfish piece of shit for doing that and that using this as an excuse to harm your child makes you a fucking monster.

  • OK, your favorite mythology makes you feel happy and you had a sense of community that came out of your shared mythology. That's great, FOR YOU. But at this point, you're considering shunning and emotionally abusing, perhaps even physically abusing, your child because their life might make you have to compromise your membership in a mythology club. That's what your religion IS. It's a mythology club that happens to make you happy. Your child SHOULD matter more. A HELL of a lot more.
