OK, your favorite mythology makes you feel happy and you had a sense of community that came out of your shared mythology.
That's great, FOR YOU. But at this point, you're considering shunning and emotionally abusing, perhaps even physically abusing, your child because their life might make you have to compromise your membership in a mythology club.
That's what your religion IS. It's a mythology club that happens to make you happy.
Your child SHOULD matter more.
A HELL of a lot more.

If your mythology club matters more than your child's life, YOU'RE A SELFISH ASSHOLE. There ARE no ifs, ands or buts here. YOU'RE AND AWFUL PARENT AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
