I'm packing a bag right now for my trip back tomorrow and as I put a towel in, I am reminded of the advice Douglas Adams gave us so many years ago. To this day, I do not travel without my own towel. Even though there is always, always a towel available wherever I go, should the need arise.
So, Doug, from the bottom of my heart, fuck you, you glorious bastard.

@bruce@darkmoon.social I have found the opposite - towel ended up being clutch when the occasion arises. Stuck at the airport? towel becomes a pillow. Stuck at the airport? Towel becomes a small blanket. Stuck at the airport? Towel becomes a loincloth. Stuck at the airport? Towel becomes emergency snack. Currently stuck at the airport - send help!
