When you are surrounded by the smoke of #Spokane burning in the hellscape of a #climatechange summer, this is how you let fresh air into the house. Two heavy-duty furnace filters in the window.

    @edsuom@hachyderm.io Oooo. I like that set up! Ingenious. Will consider it. CO2 builds up indoors, esp in the basement, and I like to crack windows except when it’s smoky. We have had 2 wks of bad air in Eastern WA, so much that we escaped to the west side of the Cascades for a couple of days. Poor dog had not gone for a walk for awhile. Then back to bad air…

  • @edsuom@hachyderm.io this looks great. I was thinking of building an enclosure with fans to build a positive pressure with filtered air, rather than air coming in through vents and such.

  • @edsuom@hachyderm.io this is just suss - you are soaking in it, as a maker of laminar flow hoods i encourage you to put a fan in the window to pull clean air in and push bad air out
