ok, I'm kinda failing on this weeks robot, as I have the controller , but have not technically built the robot yet.
the ch32v003 is MUCH more sensitive to power noise than an AVR.

@RueNahcMohr@infosec.exchange I have observed this as well! I ended up with a 1uF capacitor across the Vdd/Gnd lines right next to the chip to get it to behave. I eventually gave up on those as the number of warts >> the utility.
