@Crumbee@beige.party has family in Spokane, in the area that's burning. Fortunately, as of now, they have evacuated safely with one of their pets. The other one wouldn't go. Cherished belongings were left home. I.. I don't have much words left. There was a time I used to do research tangential to planetary and climate science. There was much talking about risks and trends and twenty years in the future. And mitigation and things everyday people could do and .. and I don't think people listened. Eventually, I ran out of words and walked away (it was a bit more complicated than that, but you get the idea). Friends, the time is now. Things can be done. All the words are there, look for them. Strengthen your connections. Look out for each other.
